Preserve Your Natural Teeth
Our
philosophy is to do everything we can to preserve the natural teeth
through prevention of cavities and gum disease.
When we need to do treatment we use state of the art biocompatible
dental materials to restore the teeth as conservatively as possible.
We use micro dentistry which is a new concept of minimizing tooth
loss through the use of miniature tools to preserve as much tooth as
possible. We use lasers to find hidden cavities. We treat them with
ultra small dental tools and lasers. We use composite to fill in the
tiny openings. Compared to the amalgam techniques we preserve much
more natural tooth structure.
The reason why this is important is that it helps prevent extensive
and more expensive treatments such as root canals and crowns.
Research has shown that approximately 10% of teeth receiving crowns
end up needing a root canal in the first year after the crown is
placed. (With our technique it is less than 1% of teeth receiving
crowns that need root canal in the first year.)
