When treatment is needed, we use state of the art biocompatible dental materials to restore the teeth as conservatively as possible. To preserve as much tooth as possible, we use micro dentistry, which is a new concept of minimizing tooth loss through the use of miniature tools. We use lasers to find hidden cavities and treat them with ultra small dental tools and lasers. We use composite to fill in the tiny openings of the teeth; compared to the amalgam techniques we preserve much more of the natural tooth structure.

This new technique is important because it helps prevent more extensive and costly treatments such as root canals and crowns.  Research has shown that approximately 10% of teeth receiving crowns end up needing a root canal in the first year after the crown is placed. With our technique it is less than 1%!
