Katlyn – Receptionist

My name is Katlyn and I’ve been involved in the dental field for over 7 years, getting my start in sterilization and moving up into dental assisting. I am a Registered Dental Assistant in the state of Washington and was given hands on training at a local vocational school for dental assisting. As a dental assistant I am trained in all aspects of general dentistry, but during my time with Dr. Stickney, I’ve learned not only the technical side of dentistry but also how the mouth affects the whole body. Although I’m no longer dental assisting as often as I used to, I do work in an administrative role- scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, filing insurance claims and helping our patients in any way I can. My goals here are to educate patients and help them achieve their dental goals. I enjoy working with my hands and getting to know our patients individually. This helps me to provide the care that they need. I am a Washington native and in my spare time I enjoy volunteering, hiking, traveling, walking outside with my dog and spending time with my family and friends.

Jessica – Assistant

My name is Jessica. I am a registered dental assistant in the state of Washington. I have been in the dental field for over 15 years with clinical experience as well as administrative experience. Over this time I have acquired a well-rounded knowledge in most aspects of the dental office and am eager to continue to learn new things. While assisting Dr. Stickney during our procedures I strive to make each visit comfortable. I enjoy getting to know our patients, educating and helping them to improve their overall health through exceptional dentistry. It is always a great feeling to be able to share in increasing someone’s confidence in their smile. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest I love exploring the varied things that I can do in our area with my family and friends.

Annika – Hygienist

My name is Annika and I am Dr. Stickney’s Hygienist in the office. I’ve been a hygienist for about 11 years and have been involved in the dental field for 17 years. I started out as a dental assistant and worked in several dental clinics while going to school. I got my Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Northeastern University and went to Summa Cum Laude Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists and that is where I got my certificate in Advanced Dental Hygiene. My job is to work with the doctor in helping our clients attain and maintain optimal oral health. One of my goals here is to continue learning from Dr. Stickney’s vast experience and knowledge. I also have great sympathy and empathy for those with dental fears, and I would like all of our patients to look forward to their appointments here. Outside of work I have many hobbies. I worked as a goldsmith’s apprentice for 2 years and am working on getting a home studio to continue working on creating jewelry with lost wax casting. I’m also looking forward to summer to explore the mountains by hiking. I’m excited about planting a vegetable and herb garden; we grew only rocks and sagebrush in Tahoe, where I’m from. And I’m also restoring the first bicycle my mother bought when she came to the US in 1968.

Kari – Client Coordinator

Hello, I’m Kari and I work in the front of the office with Dr. Stickney and his team. I’ll often be the one to schedule your appointments and welcome you into the office on your first visit. I love getting to know all our patients here and doing whatever I can to make each person feel as comfortable as possible. I’m still new to the dental field and I am so happy to be learning in this field of dentistry with a doctor who’s caring and natural approach I can truly believe in. I grew up in the Seattle area as the youngest of eight kids. Outside of the office I am learning a foreign language and enjoy staying active and spending time with my family and friends.
