Invisalign in Seattle, WA

Invisalign is a series of clear plastic aligners that are used to gradually shift your teeth into their desired positions. The aligners are switched out about every two weeks in order to gradually move your teeth into place. Each set of aligners is custom-made to fit your mouth.

Invisalign is a great alternative to traditional braces for many patients, and it offers many benefits. One of the biggest benefits is that no one will notice that you are wearing your aligners because they are clear. The aligners are also very comfortable, making them a great option for adults and teens. The aligners are also removable, so eating, cleaning your teeth, and special occasions are not a problem.

How Does Invisalign Work?

One of our dentists, Dr. Stickney or Dr. Cziao, will take x-rays, pictures, and impressions of your teeth, which Invisalign will use to create a digital 3-D image of your teeth. Then we will map out a precise treatment plan, including the exact movements of your teeth, and tell you the approximate length of treatment.

You'll wear each set of aligners for 1-2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to their final positions. You'll visit the dental office as suggested by the dentist to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.

Total treatment time averages 12-18 months, and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both will vary from case to case. We recommend wearing your aligners for 22 hours a day.

Is Invisalign Right for You?

Invisalign treatment is perfect for patients of all ages but is especially ideal for adults and older teens.

The aligners are nearly invisible and can be taken out for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing.

Invisalign treatment is also comfortable. Most patients experience little to no discomfort. In fact, adults are often surprised by how little discomfort they experience throughout the process.
